It may have been cold and snowy outside, but the music was hot at 3rd and Lindsey last nigh. I teamed up with a friend and his wife, and we met up to watch Jeffery Steele perform. What a show it was! I am always amazed at the talent that resides here in Nashville. Jeffery is one of the best songwriters in town. You have heard his hits on the radio.
When I first moved to Nashville, back in 2007, we were watching the first show, at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, when we realized Jeffery was sitting 'in the round' for the second show. Bummer, but we did not have tickets to the second show.
So we went across the street to have a beer. After a beer, we went back across the street and peered inside. with our noses against the glass. It was then that a couple got into a fight and left their seats. We asked, 'of we could have their seats?' The said, 'yes.' So we were able to catch Jeffery play 'in the round.' Talk about wow!
This was just after her had tragically lost his son in a 4 wheeler accident. It was a very emotional night and just something really special to witness. Afterwards I gave him a hug.
